Who would have thought it? Waterstones to drop the Kindle after ‘Pitiful Sales’.
Something we have seen in the last 12-18 months is an increase in book production. People still love books and through our sister brand www.shortrunbooks.co.uk we have helped many people self publish, launch their writing careers or simply document their lives for generations to come.
The tangible documentation of printed short run books or indeed longer run books can never be replaced by the Kindle or e-readers. I for one love technology but the bookshelf full of well-thumbed reading conquests feels more of an achievement than a list of PDFs. Our short run book printing service has enabled people easy access to self publish, or print small runs of books to send out to publishers around the country. This is why I am proud of the service we can offers both private and business clients, taking you through the whole process from a word file to a finished product.
With our in-house design and production facility, short run book printing is carried our all in one place, we can recommend the most appropriate papers, binding style, finishes and more to give you the best result within your budget.

So what will happen to the Kindle? I suspect it will move towards a standard tablet. The battle of the books has definitely swung in the favour of the paperback book, that tangible item, complete with scent of the freshly printed word, has proven to have more appeal than the ‘like paper’ screen.
Similarly workbooks in the training sector have become more bespoke and used to complement electronic media and with so much training available on so many subjects the need to offer a short run of printed books has become more relevant than ever.
We are pleased to bring you a service we are excited by, know a lot about and can deliver in a friendly and efficient way for individuals and companies alike.
