Additional Options

What else can we do?
Well there are various options available to you.

Mail can be sent out in envelopes or poly bags
Envelopes are the far more popular option, but poly bags are still used by some people, this is simply done by printing a carrier sheet which has the address and PPI which is then inserted along with the mail piece, the poly bag is then heat sealed bundled and mailed. This used to be the cheaper and more attractive way of mailing your work, but envelope prices are now very low, and easier to work with.

Larger Quantities
If you are sending more than 1000 parcels or 4000 Letters you can save money by using some of the Royal Mail’s discount options.

Mail sort is basically Remous doing some of the work for the Royal Mail, we run the database through our software system to sort the data into separate areas of the UK.

When we mail the job we split the areas into different batches. These are then sent straight from our local Royal Mail Depot to the local Post Offices around the country. We effectively sort the mail for delivery before its gone into the post.

By saving work for the Royal Mail they offer discount. The discount can be up to 25% if your data is accurate.

Remous obviously charges you for carrying out this service, but its possible to make great savings depending on data quality etc.
